Replaced Husky floor liners with Mopar floor liners

The Husky liners bent at the sides almost from the get go. They should have been made from thicker plastic.

Temporary Tire Carrier (removed on 3/15/08)

With Alan’s help I created an adapter so I could mount my 37" spare tire to the stock tire carrier. This was a temporary solution until replace the stock bumper with a tire carrier. It held up fine for a few months and a couple of wheeling trips but I didn’t trust it for the long term.

Temporary Front DIY Stubby (removed on 3/15/08)

Alan and I were talking about how ugly the stock plastic crappy bumpers are so we got creative and hacked ours up.

This was temporary while I was waiting for my winch bumper.

We stripped the plastic and trimmed up the metal part of the stock bumpers.

We then welded 1/16th inch plate on the ends and across the fount (to cover all the holes from the fog lights etc.)

Wilson antenna Mounted on the License plate (now moved to the tire carrier)

I decided to install the antenna on the license place holder so I made a bracket (of sorts) to add some support.

I used a HD spring loaded mount.

I ran the coax through the existing grommet used by for the rear light and license plate wiring.

I used a zip tie connected to the rear light to keep the antenna from flopping about.

My Wilson 4” antenna is too tall to leave on permanently so I added a way to disconnect it easily. The zip tie is easy the replace, the grounding wire is detachable and the antenna easily unscrews from the base.

I may try a 3” antenna in the future so I can leave it on permanently.
