My sister Kim and her family were out for a US visit and had never been to Moab, so we took them. They rented a Jeep and are very new to off-roading so we took things easy and ran scenic trails.
On Thursday we ran the Top of the World trail. We'd never run this trail and reportedly it has the best overlook in the area. It truly is an amazing view . Tori drove our Jeep for the most part.

It's hard to capture how "big" this view is. This picture was taken directly over the ledge that the Jeep is parked on in the first picture. It's so far down that it looks like a satellite view or something!

After getting back to Highway 128 we headed over to the Onion Creek trail which is directly below the Top of the World overlook.
This is the valley that we were looking down on earlier.

The next day we decided to visit Arches National Park. After doing the touristy thing on the paved roads, followed by a 3 mile hike up to Delicate Arch we took the un-maintained 4x4 trails to Tower Arch, Klondike Bluffs and Balanced Rock.

I about got heat stroke hiking around Tower Arch in the middle of the day in 100 plus degree heat (like an idiot). When we got back to the condo and I’d cooled down, I took some preventative measures and rehydrated ;)
